Rhinelander’s annual holiday tree lighting set for Friday

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community downtown Friday, Nov. 28 for the city’s annual tree lighting ceremony. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. at Stevensport Square and will include caroling, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate, cookies and candy and a countdown to light the tree.

“I look forward to seeing everyone downtown this Friday after they’ve finished up their Black Friday shopping,” said RACC executive director Dana DeMet. “This is a fun event with an old fashioned feel that the whole family will get to enjoy.”

The event is free and open to the public through the support of Frontier Communications, the Oneida County Tavern League, the Rhinelander Cafe & Pub, Ripco Credit Union, the City of Rhinelander, the Rhinelander High School Show Choir, and the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce.
Due to a low number of entries, the Holiday Parade through downtown Rhinelander has been cancelled for 2014 but all other festivities will go on as planned.

For questions or more information, contact the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce at 715-365-7464 or [email protected]
