Obituary: Robert Allen “Bob” Rouse

Robert Allen “Bob” Rouse, 68, passed away April 3, 2014, at his home in Rhinelander due to complications from multiple strokes. Bob was born July 3, 1945, in Winona, Minn., to Frank and Norma (Andress) Rouse. In November 1965, Bob joined the U.S. Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic and was stationed onboard the USS Independence until the end of his tour in 1967. He is survived by his wife of 44 1/2 years Laura; his son, Bobby of Rhinelander; his daughter Pennie Lynn (Bart) Loebs of Newcasate, Wyo.; four grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Sydlo of Elcho and Norm (Cynthia) Rouse of Channing, Mich; and two sisters, Kathy Rouse of Crandon and Rose Rouse of Rhinelander; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by  a brother, John; and a baby nephew, Jody Rouse. The family is planning a gathering to honor Bob at a later date.
