Adult fall volleyball and basketball league wrap up
The YMCA of the Northwoods ran a variety of adult leagues this fall, including Co-ed A and B Volleyball Leagues and Adult A and B Basketball Leagues.
After nine weeks of league play and a three week tournament the 16-team Volleyball League resulted with Team Fashingbauer taking the A League Title, and Team Sugar taking the B League Title. The 10-team Basketball League resulted in Able Ones taking the A League and Fred’s Grill taking the B League title. This was the first year the Basketball League was a “call-your-own-foul” league and was well received by the players and teams.
This coming winter the leagues will be starting up again. There will be Co-ed Volleyball Monday nights, Basketball League Wednesdays and Thursdays, and a new Co-ed Dodgeball League Friday nights.
Registration for the leagues is open, with the Volleyball and Basketball starting the week of Jan. 20, and Dodgeball will begin Feb. 7.
