The Eagle River YMCA will hold its annual golf scramble at the Eagle River Golf Course Thursday, Aug. 22.

The 18-hole scramble will begin at 11 a.m. with a bag lunch for golfers. The shotgun start is at noon. There will be prizes and surprises throughout the event.

Dinner, a raffle and silent auction will follow. Golf is $85 per person or $65 for ERGC members. Dinner only is $30.

The golf scramble is “best ball” and mulligans may be purchased. Expert golfing is not required. Those interested may arrange a foursome or sign up as a single and the Y will configure a team. The event also sells dinner-only tickets that will benefit the local Y.

The YMCA offers reduced rates for wellness center memberships through their Strong Kids Campaign. The annual golf scramble funds those who want to be a part of the Y but cannot afford full membership. It is utilized by more than 80 local families. The campaign also allows the Y to keep gym and training quality high and all memberships affordable.

BMO Harris and One Prospect are title sponsors. WRJO’s Jim Hodges will emcee the event.
