Obituary: John P. Granger

John P. Granger, 78, of the Town of Newbold died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at his home. He was born April 6, 1935, in Hammond, Ind., to Forrest and Elizabeth (Barrows) Granger. He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen, Elizabeth and Margaret; a sister, Marilyn; and two grandchildren. Mr. Granger served in the Air Force during the Korean War, from 1954 to 1959. He enjoyed genealogy and had a special relationship with his Airedale terrier, Mac D, who passed away early last winter. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Rhinelander with Fr. Dean Einerson officiating. Visitation will be Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the church. Interment will be in Newbold Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow at Indian Shores Resort in Woodruff.
