The Red Wagon Quilters created a beautiful quilt, and donated it to the James Beck Cancer Center in Rhinelander to benefit cancer patients and families served by the organization.

In conjunction with the sixth annual Celebration of Life event in August, the James Beck Cancer Center is hosting a quilt raffle. Tickets for the quilt raffle are $1 each or six for $5 and are available at the James Beck Cancer Center, located at 2251 North Shore Drive.
The winning ticket will be drawn during the Sixth Annual Celebration of Life Thursday, Aug. 15, between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.
The Red Wagon Quilters created the beautiful quilt, called “Flight of Fancy,” and donated the 70″ x 72″ masterpiece to benefit the James Beck Cancer Center Patient Fund.
“Everybody has been touched by cancer in some way,” Bernice Tolsted, Red Wagon Quilters, said. “We wanted to donate the quilt to an organization that can benefit from it.”
Eleven members of the Red Wagon Quilters spent nearly six months creating the hand-embroidered quilt.
For more information, call the James Beck Cancer Center at 715-361-2140.
