Budget?s effect on Badger Care unacceptable by Dick and Gail Gumness

Just read in the Green Bay Press Gazette poll that 74 percent of Wisconsin citizens are totally against the 2013-15 budget just voted in by all the Republican cronies of Walker in Madison. That’s just one example of their continuing ineptitude.

It also came to light Monday, June 24, that the Wisconsin Department of Health Services finally released the breakdown of which counties would see individuals forced out of Badger Care and how many people from each county.

To see that list, go to gothealthcarewi.gov. Totals are – kicked off Badger Care: 98,122; denied Badger Care: 173,842; impacted: 271,964.

Another slam here is that the number of people kicked off Badger Care is 10,000 more than they originally declared it would be.

This is plainly not acceptable. This is becoming old hat in Walker’s Republican-controlled government.

The only thing we have going for the rest of us is that this decision can be overturned at any time and we can reach out and accept these federal dollars for Badger Care, and we must not give up fighting for this…each one of us needs to find out just how we can help and then do so.

Contact your nearest Democratic headquarters or representative.
It truly is up to all of us to bring back the Wisconsin we know and love.

Thank you,
Dick and Gail Gumness, Woodruff
