New flag dedicated for AT&T tower

On Tuesday, Rhinelander city officials and AT&T representatives gathered to dedicate a flag for the AT&T cell tower in downtown Rhinelander. There hasn’t been a flag flying on the tower since last year and the new flag, which was donated to the city by AT&T, is a smaller model of the previous flags flown. It is hoped that this new flag will fly without getting ensnarled around the pole, which was a problem with the previous flags. Present during the ceremony were, from left, Blaine Oborn, Rhinelander city administrator; Mark Pelliter, chairman of the parking administration board; Rhinelander Mayor Dick Johns; Robyn Gruner, Wisconsin’s director of AT&T external affairs; and J.C. Mayfield, site acquisition project manager for AT&T.
