Oldenburg Group awarded $40 million in contracts
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that Oldenburg Group, a defense contractor based in Milwaukee, is the recipient of more than $40 million in Navy contracts. Oldenburg has a location in Rhinelander as well as three facilities in northern Michigan.
Because of the new contracts, Oldenburg plans to hire employees for manufacturing, engineering and administrative jobs.
The equipment the Navy is ordering includes boat handling and mooring equipment as well as aircraft elevator systems and bulkhead closure systems. The new contracts are in addition to the company’s existing contracts for four classes of Navy ships.
