Northwoods Summer Thunder Motorcycle Rally

The annual Northwoods Summer Thunder Motorcycle Rally, presented by the Lakeland Tavern League, Northwoods Harley-Davidson and Lake of the Torches Resort Casino and will be held on Friday, and Saturday, June 14 and 15. All profits from the event help to support the Lakeland Area Special Olympics. The rally will be held rain or shine.

Fun Run cards are now available for purchase at participating taverns, the Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce and Northwoods Harley-Davidson. The cards will also be on sale at the Summer Thunder hospitality booths during the event. To view the routes, visit northwoodssummerthunder.com.

Live music by The Spicy Tie Band will begin at 6 p.m. Friday evening at Torpy Park in downtown Minocqua. Beverages served by the Lakeland Tavern League will be available by 4 p.m. Those who would like to attend are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a beach blanket to the park. Performances are free and open to the public.

The Lakeland Area Kiwanis Club will have doughnuts and coffee followed by brats and hot dogs beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Northwoods Harley-Davidson in Arbor Vitae.
The Lakeland Tavern League has composed three different Fun Runs with stops and entertainment along the way. Participants must have their booklets stamped at all designated stops on the route for an entry in the prize drawings held Saturday evening at Torpy Park. Fun Runs may be completed on motorcycle, bicycle, automobile or by foot. Cards are $10 a ride or three for $25.

A live performance by Tuscan Road will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday night in Torpy Park.
There will be raffles and door prizes throughout both evenings. Grand prizes will be awarded at 8 p.m. on Saturday night. Participants must be present to win.
