Frederick Place receives donation from Harley-Davidson Foundation
NATH (Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing) has received a $2,000 monetary donation from the Harley-Davidson Foundation to be used for the general operating cost of Frederick Place Homeless Shelter.
The donation will assist NATH in providing emergency temporary shelter to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in the Northwoods.
NATH serves those seeking shelter from Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas counties. To date, NATH has provided shelter, meals, case management and basic life necessities to 233 individuals, including 32 children.
Those who wish to help support the continued operation of Frederick Place may participate by providing an evening meal for residents, donating items from the “Wish List” (call the shelter for current items), donating a small amount monthly, volunteering at the shelter or volunteering to transport residents to appointments.
Annual operating costs for Frederick Place are projected to be $205,000 per year. These costs include 24-hour staffing, case management, utilities, insurance, food, supplies and maintenance.
Tax-deductible donations may be mailed to NATH/Frederick Place, P.O. Box 913, Rhinelander, WI 54501.
