Our Turn: The year comes to a close

Hey! I’m Shawn Crofoot. I’m a freshman in high school and this year has been an amazing experience for all NCSS students, with three brand new advisors coming in, although it has also been an enjoyable year filled with new experiences. The Northwoods Community Secondary School was relocated to a wing in the Rhinelander High School building for this year, so not only do we have new advisors, we are also in a different building. In my honest opinion, I think that all of the HS advisors did an outstanding job, considering the fact that they are here for their first year.

But after nearly nine months, the school year is nearly finished and summer vacation is a long-awaited period for most students. Personally, I think that next year is going to be a crazy year. There is a large amount of 8th grade students moving on to high school and there will be new 6th grade students coming from elementary schools. Merely 18 school days remain before the seniors have their last day and then five more after that until the rest of the school population is let out. Congratulations to graduating seniors and welcome to NCSS, new 6th graders. I hope next year is as superb as this one has been.
