A special Spring Dinner and Concert Benefit co-sponsored by WXPR public radio will be held Thursday, May 16.

Dinner is at 6 p.m. and the concert is at 7:15 p.m. The gourmet dinner will be in the WinterBerry Dining Room with a choice of four entrees, a full salad bar, dessert and beverages. The evening’s dinner, concert and raffle proceeds will be shared between Treehaven’s Youth Environmental Programs and the Wisconsin Lakes Non-profit Organization.

Music will be provided by the Northwoods group Woodland Strings. This string orchestra has been making music together for 20 years. What began as a quartet has now grown into a small orchestra which includes violins, violas, cellos, bass and a button accordion. Their repertoire includes timeless classics, Broadway and movie hits, Mariachi, tangos, Celtic jigs, contemporary, pop and new music.

Limited seating is available and reservations are required. Tickets are $25. For more information or to register, contact UWSP-Treehaven at W2540 Pickerel Creek Rd, Tomahawk, WI 54487; (715) 453-4106; treehaven@uwsp.edu; or log on to www.uwsp.edu/treehaven and click on “upcoming events.”
