The Let’s Go Fishing (LGF) Northwoods officially became the first LGF chapter in Wisconsin on Friday, April 12. LGF will provide fishing and boating excursions at no cost to seniors, youth and veterans in the Northwoods beginning this summer. The non-profit organization was founded in Wilmar, Minn., and currently has 28 chapters in Minnesota.

The Rhinelander chapter will provide fishing and boating excursions this summer on a new 32-foot custom designed pontoon boat purchased with a $25,000 local grant and additional financing from People’s State Bank.

For more information on LGF, go to lgfws.com. To support LGF Northwoods or to volunteer, call (715) 499-1294.
