Obituary: Robert Allen Ottman

Robert Allen Ottman, 55, of Rhinelander died Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was born Dec. 29, 1957, in Rhinelander to Otto and Beverly (Pratt) Ottman. He is survived by three sons, Benjamin and Thomas Ottman, both of Hampton, Va., and Michael Ottman of Rhinelander; his parents; three sisters, Debbie Ottman (Kevin Karpf) of Rhinelander, Suanne (Billy) Kinross of Algonquin, Ill., and Sherry Ottman of Rhinelander; two brothers, Thomas (Mary) Ottman of Andover, Minn., and Gary (Dawn) Ottman of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren; and his close friend, Jane Kuehn of Rhinelander. Mr. Ottman worked at the paper mill in Rhinelander for 37 years and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and ice fishing. Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s site with Fr. Tom Thakadipuram officiating. A memorial is being established in his name and may be directed to his family. (Carlson Funeral Home)
