Obituary: Doris Ann Henkel

Doris Ann Henkel, 70, of Rhinelander died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Saint Mary’s Hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1942, to Raymond and Marion (Horn) Skoy. She is survived by her children, Brian (Bev) and Todd (Joy), both of Rhinelander, and Darin (Tina) of Baraboo; a brother, Richard (Shirley) Skoy; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and special friends Nancy Pugh and Jack Decker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally, and her parents. Mrs. Henkel and her husband owned Henkel’s Town Pump, retiring in 2003. She was the fire warden for 20 years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew Schoel officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 15, at Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial has been established in Mrs. Henkel’s name and may be directed to the family.
