The Rhinelander District Library will hold a program on invasive species Monday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m. Brent Hanson, owner of Hanson’s Garden Village, will discuss the upcoming NR40 Invasive Species Rule process, which will affect certain plants. Hanson is a local private-sector plant professional who works with species assessment groups to help the state determine which plants to regulate. He operates a local nursery and garden center that grows many native as well as non-native plants.

A listening session about the NR40 Invasive Species Rule process will be held at the DNR Service Center in Rhinelander Tuesday, March 12, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Formal hearings will be held this fall.

Call the Rhinelander District Library at (715) 365-1070 for more information.
