Area accommodation owners and managers and other interested businesses are invited to participate in the 2012 Vilas County Fall Accommodation Tour and Workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tour and workshop are hosted by the Land O’Lakes Chamber of Commerce, and co-sponsored by the Vilas County Tourism & Publicity Department, Vilas County Chamber of Commerce, and the Northwoods Chapter of the Hotel and Lodging Association.

According to Vilas County Tourism & Publicity Director Cindy Burzinski, the morning tour will highlight accommodation facilities in the Land O’Lakes area. Included will be the Gateway Lodge, Bel Air Motel, Deerwood Lodge and Bent’s Camp. Registration will be at Gateway Lodge starting at 8:15 a.m. and following the tour, lunch will be at Bent’s Camp.

Following the luncheon, the afternoon program ‘Success with Social Media’ will be presented by Stefan Anderson, Head of Conserve School. Prior to joining Conserve School in 2001 as Head of Admission, Anderson was a math and science instructor at Breck School in Minneapolis.

A resort roundtable discussion will follow Anderson’s presentation, and affords attendees a chance to share practical ideas and solutions to common problems.

Cost for the tour and workshop is $20 per person, which includes morning coffee/rolls, lunch and the workshop. Pre-registration is required no later than Tuesday, Oct. 2.

For more information, or a registration form, call the Vilas County Tourism & Publicity Department at (715) 479-3649.
