Laurel Anderson, UW-Extension Master Preserver volunteer, will be offering free pressure canner testing at the Eagle River Farmer’s Market on Sept. 12 and 19. Bring your canner lids and/or dials between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Pressure canners should be tested yearly for safety when preserving garden products. Inaccurate pressure canner readings during the canning process may result in food spoilage and food borne illness.
