Ministry Health Care has announced that Dr. Olumide Omiwade has joined the facility as a hospitalist. He will be providing care to patients at 2251 North Shore Drive in Rhinelander.

Hospitalists are providers who specialize in caring for patients who have been hospitalized. In many areas of the country, primary care providers are referring their patients to a hospitalist when their patients are sick enough that they can no longer be cared for in the outpatient setting.

Dr. Omiwade earned his medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife in Nigeria. He completed his family medicine residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn. He has a special interest in adult medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Omiwade has worked as a hospitalist in different hospital settings within the United States.

“In all that I do in life, I welcome each opportunity and the satisfaction with doing my best, especially in treating my patients” said Dr. Omiwade.
