Letter: DRI events success thanks to volunteers by Maggie Steffen
Editor:
This has been a busy time for Downtown Rhinelander Inc. We feel it is important to take the time to say thank you to everyone that has participated and helped within the past few weeks.
Redikulus Dae is the first event to address. It is a 55-year tradition that Downtown Rhinelander Inc. is proud to continue. At this year’s event, there were more merchants and vendors (over 65), awesome food, fantastic entertainment and the addition of the bounce house which had over 150 kids jumping with joy. This event was a great success.
Thank you to all who participated. The merchants, from offering great deals to allowing other vendors to be in front of their businesses. The vendors who brought in their wide variety of specialty items. The other organizations which we are happy to see downtown. The community, thank you so much for coming and we hope you had successful shopping day and a fun time.
Last, but definitely not least, the volunteers. Downtown Rhinelander Inc. has the hardest working, most dedicated people. Thank you to all, and a special thank you to the lead person, Michelle Smith-Grage.
The very next day we were off to the Oneida County Fair. Downtown Rhinelander Inc. supplies the beverages for all the fair goers. Thank you to all who stopped by and in turn supported us. We had a great time at the “Tacky Tiki Hut” and invite everyone to join us for the fun next year.
Thanks to our suppliers. Thank you to Sherrie Belliveau and Sally Latimer for the lead work on this project. As usual, there are too many people to thank here, but please know you are all appreciated, and the day would not have been a success without you.
Downtown Rhinelander Inc. has great things coming in the future, but as you can sense, community involvement and volunteers are the glue that holds it all together.
If you would like to be a part of Downtown Rhinelander Inc., we would love to have you. Give us a call at (715) 362-7374.
Maggie Steffen, Rhinelander
Interim Executive Director, Downtown Rhinelander Inc.
