A local business is offering the opportunity to help your budget while helping hospice

By buying a raffle ticket, you may win $50 in high quality meat and you will definitely be helping people who are facing the end of life. T’s Smokers Meats has partnered with Ministry Home Care – Hospice, and four lucky winners will each receive a $50 gift certificate to their store, located at 114 W. Wisconsin Ave. in Tomahawk. All proceeds will go toward the care of hospice patients and their families in the Northwoods.

While Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance companies provide some funding for hospice care, many who Ministry cares for are under-insured or uninsured. Ministry will not turn them away. Ministry Home Care provides end-of-life care to anyone who is medically eligible, regardless of their ability to pay-donations and fundraisers help them meet this commitment.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be held at Ministry Home Care’s second Annual Life’s Treasures Rummage Sale on Aug. 18, at noon at the Myre Electric Building, N11585 Cty. Y in Tomahawk.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at WJJQ Northwoods Radio, 81 East Mohawk Dr. in Tomahawk; T’s Smokers Meats, 114 W. Wisconsin Ave. in Tomahawk, or call (800) 643-4663 for additional opportunities.
