Lyle K. Pleoger, 76, of Rhinelander, died April 2, 2012, at Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was born on Sept. 20, 1935, in Langlade County to Lyle F. and Florence Pleoger.

Keith graduated from Rhinelander High School. He married Charlotte Huebner on Sept. 17, 1956, and together they raised their family of three children. Charlotte preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 1994. Keith was an industrial electrician with the Rhinelander Paper Company, and then transferred with Champion Paper to the mill in Sartell, Minn. in 1980. He retired there in 1995 and returned to Rhinelander. He married his wife, Tena on December 28, 1996, and they celebrated 15 years together. Keith was a faithful member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church where he had served on the church council and was an important member of the group that constructed the new addition to the church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and always had a project to work on, be it at his home, church, or mill.

Keith is survived by his wife, Tena Pleoger of Rhinelander; his daughter, Cheryl (Craig) Turk of Rhinelander; his two sons, Daniel (Denise) Pleoger of Winter and David (Shannon) Pleoger of St. Cloud, Minn.; two step-daughters, Julie (Mike) Kieft of Highland, Ind. and Pamela (Dave) Vanzyle of DeMott, Ind.; two step-sons, James Huizenga of Indianapolis, Ind. and Michael Huizenga of Potoski, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Elaine (Tom) Fredrick of Rhinelander; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Faye Martishus and Helen Pleoger.

Funeral services for Keith will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Matthew Schoell officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church.
