Obituaries for 9-4

Mark Fletcher, 68, of Wyanet, Ill., and formerly of Rhinelander, died Aug. 27, 2011, in Harshaw. He was born March 8, 1943, in Stevens Point, to Raymond and Eileen Fletcher. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two daughters, three brothers; two sisters; and five grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents; and his brother Gayle Fletcher. Mark graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1961. He was a steel hauler and retired from LCN in Princeton in 2005. Funeral services were held in Princeton, Ill.

Jean L. Miller, 70, of Pine Lake, died Aug. 28, 2010, at Friendly Village Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 20, 1941, in Milwaukee, to Raymond and Irene Schroeder. She is survived by her husband, Martin; her son, David (Joan) Miller; her daughter, Laura (Tim) Schwanz; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; and her brother Ray Schroeder. Jean was an accountant for many years. A funeral service was held Sept. 2 at Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home.

Michael E. “Big Mike” Theis, 64, of Rhinelander, died Aug. 29, 2011, at his home. He was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Milwaukee, to Floyd and Sylvia Theis. He is survived by his wife, Kay; his parents, Floyd (Shirley) Theis and Sylvia Theis; his step-children, Vincent Parr, Nickolas (Tami) Anderson, Kym Anderson and Lance Rutledge; his brothers, Brian (Sandy) Theis and Floyd Theis; and many grandchildren. Mike worked for General Electric in Milwaukee for 34 years before retiring to the Northwoods in 2006. Funeral services were held Sept. 1 at Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home. Burial was in Wilderness Rest Cemetery.
