Obituaries for 8-28

Marie A. Young, 79, of Rhinelander, died Aug. 22, 2011, at Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. She was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Oconto Falls, to Floyd and Johanna Jewell. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn (Carl) Beauchamp and Julie (Dan Manning) Young, both of Rhinelander; her sons, Robert (Therese) of Bentonville, Ark. and Patrick (Pamela) of Rhinelander; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her sisters, Blanche McNulty of Wabeno, Carmel Stage of Milwaukee, Kathy Tokarczyk of Wabeno, Patty (Jack) Gustavson of Altoona and Barbara (Mike) Mulliken of Florence, Ariz.; and her brothers, Herbert (Theresa) Jewell of Arlington Heights, Ill., Donald (Pat) Jewell of Milwaukee and Frankie Jewell of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1991; and her granddaughter, Stephanie Young. Marie was a cook for the Rhinelander High School from 1970 until 1993. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Aug. 26 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish – St. Mary’s site. Interment was in the Nativity of Our Lord Church Cemetery.

Cheryl A. Running, 49, of Sugar Camp, died Aug. 22, 2011. She was born May 29, 1962, in Rhinelander, to Robert and Betty Stefonek. She is survived by husband, Tim; two sons, Grant and Lance; her father; a brother, Bruce (Jan) Stefonek and Susan Tobin; her in-laws, Jim and Shirley Running; and their children, Rick (Lisa) Running, Russ (Debby) Running, Mike (Traci) Running and Lisa (Jack) Wales. She was preceded in death by her mother. A celebration of life was held on Aug. 26 at St. Kunegunda Catholic Church in Sugar Camp.
