Hodag Highlights:Rhinelander boys soccer drops two games, scores first goal of season

The Rhinelander High School boys soccer team suffered two losses last week but finally broke through for its first goal of the season.
The Hodags fell to visiting Merrill 3-0 on Tuesday. The Bluejays took a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick in the 10th minute and added a second goal with eight seconds remaining in the first half. Merrill scored once more in the second half to secure the victory.
Rhinelander traveled to Northland Pines on Thursday and managed its first goal of the season when Owen Evers converted a penalty kick. However, the Eagles pulled away for a 7-1 victory.
The Hodags remain winless as they continue searching for their first victory of the season.
