The Rhinelander High School girls’ swim team closed the books on a memorable season Monday night Nov. 24, gathering at CAVOC to honor a year of achievement that saw every athlete reach the podium.
All 13 swimmers earned varsity letters and posted top-eight finishes at the conference meet, capping a campaign defined by depth and consistent performance across the roster.
Senior captains Emma Houg and Camilla Gruett addressed their teammates following the meal, reflecting on the season’s accomplishments and the chemistry that made this year’s squad special.
Coaches Jenny Heck and Brent Olson distributed letters and awards throughout the evening. Houg earned the program’s highest individual honor, taking home the Swimmer of the Year plaque after being selected by conference coaches. Both seniors received the Hodag Award in recognition of their leadership.
The banquet marked the end of a season that saw the Hodags finish with conference podium sweeps and perfect letter-earning across the entire roster — a rare feat that speaks to the program’s competitive balance from top to bottom.
