Hodag Highlights: Soccer team celebrates succesful season

The Hodag girls soccer team held its season-ending banquet June 30 at Mike Webster stadium. The team had four girls earn first team all-conference recognition. Sophie Miljevich, Vivian Lamers and Mia Tulowitzki were unanimous picks and Ella Miljevich was the fourth Hodag named to the list. Second team members were June Chiamulera and Hayley Schiek. Leah Weigel and Becca Brost were voted honorable mention all-conference. Lamers was named an offensive player of the year and Tulowitzky was the defensive player of the year. Head coach Nathan Bates was named co-coach of the year with Stephanie Hartzheim of Lakeland.
Schiek won the Hodag Award and Lamers was awarded the Academic Excellence Award as the player with the highest grade point average.
