The Rhinelander High School volleyball team dropped both of its home matches last week, falling to Lakeland in straight sets Tuesday before losing two matches in a triangular Thursday. Lakeland swept the Hodags 25-17, 25-17, 25-11 on Tuesday.
Rhinelander hosted a three-team meet Thursday with mixed results. The Hodags lost to Prentice in three sets, 25-18, 25-22, 18-25, and were swept by Amherst. Olivia Ruetz led the Hodags against Prentice with nine kills, while Tori Stella added seven. Kayla Skubal recorded 31 digs and Kylie Treder contributed 25 assists. The team will travel to Mosinee on Tuesday for its next match.
