The Rhinelander High School track team participated in an indoor meet at Northland Pines High School in Eagle River on Thursday, April 3.. Several members of the track team were not in attendance as the distance runners were in the Point Indoor Distance Carnival on Friday and other members went to the state indoor track meet at UW-Whitewater.
The Hodag boys placed second out of the 8 teams in attendance and the girls placed first. Macy Myers scored a win in the 800 meter dash and was the anchor of the winning 4x400 relay with Ellie Cummings, Gretchen Fiebke and Mady Treder. Aila Bergman won the 55 meter hurdles to claim the team’s other first place finish.
The boys also scored three first-place finishes. Landon Catlin took first in the triple jump, Greyson Gremban won the 800 meter dash and Cyrus Leisure won the 200 meter dash.
