While the fall high school sports season did not officially conclude until Friday evening’s state swim meet in Waukesha ended, the winter sports season is already underway. On Nov. 10, members of the Rhinelander High School boys' and girls' hockey teams, the girls basketball team and the gymnastics team reported for the first practices of the season. The majority of the remaining winter sports teams were scheduled to begin practicing on Nov. 17.
