The Rhinelander High School girls basketball team emphatically ended their three-game skid last week with a pair of commanding home victories that showcased their defensive intensity and balanced scoring attack.
Monday, January 27: Rhinelander 72, Tomahawk 33
The Hodags wasted little time shaking off their losing streak in a makeup game postponed from earlier due to weather. After a competitive start, Rhinelander found its rhythm and surged to a 34-15 halftime advantage.
The second half belonged entirely to the home team, which cranked up both the pace and defensive pressure. The Hodags’ relentless effort resulted in a staggering 33 turnovers—matching Tomahawk’s entire point total—as Rhinelander cruised to the 72-33 victory.
Freshman Teagan Clark paced the Hodags with a game-high 30 points, while her sister Aubryn added 21 and Vivian Lamers chipped in 14.
