Posted

The Rhinelander High School girls basketball team put on an offensive showcase Tuesday night, Feb. 10 overwhelming Tomahawk 81-45 in a lopsided victory at Tomahawk High School. The Hodags jumped out to a commanding 48-20 halftime lead and never looked back, cruising to their 36-point victory in the second game of a boys-girls doubleheader. Rhinelander’s offense was firing on all cylinders, knocking down 12 three-pointers as a team. The balanced attack saw contributions from throughout the roster, with 11 of the 12 Hodags who saw action finding their way into the scoring column.
Aubryn Clark paced Rhinelander with a game-high 24 points, while Teagan Clark added 18 points in the winning effort. The Clark duo led a diverse scoring attack that kept Tomahawk’s defense off balance throughout the evening.
Despite the lopsided final score, Tomahawk senior Freya Alberg turned in an impressive individual performance, pouring in 27 points from her post position to earn game honors.
