Hodag Highlights: Girls basketball team rolls past Northland Pines

Posted

Teagan Clark scored 20 points to lead the Rhinelander girls basketball team to a 54-25 victory over Northland Pines in the third doubleheader of the season Friday night at home.

After Northland Pines opened the scoring with a three-pointer, the game remained tight through the early minutes with the lead changing hands several times. Clark's three-pointer at the four-minute mark gave Rhinelander an 8-7 advantage, and the Hodags never trailed again.

Rhinelander used strong defensive pressure to pull away, building a 28-11 halftime lead. The Hodags continued to dominate in the second half, holding the Eagles to just 14 points after the break.

Clark was efficient from beyond the arc, connecting on four three-pointers while also adding two field goals and a free throw. Her older sister Aubryn Clark joined her in double figures with 17 points, as the sisters provided a strong one-two scoring punch for the Hodags.
