Hodag boys cross country competes at state

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The state cross country meet was held at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids Saturday. The Hodag boys team was one of 16 in Division 2 to participate in the event.

There were 152 runners and all but two finished the race.

As a team the Hodags finished 14th out of 16 and defeated New London who won the sectional meet over the Hodags the week before.

Sophomore Avrom Barr was the top finisher for Rhinelander placing 44th with a time of 17 minutes 3.4 seconds followed by senior Greyson Gremban in 48th place. Other finishers for the Hodags were Brody Kowieski in 106th, Jackson Weinzatl 114th, Michael Brunette 138th, Ayden Myers 140th and Grant Gremban 148th.
