Nicolet College grads to start law enforcement careers
Fifteen students recently completed Nicolet College’s Law Enforcement Recruit Academy. Each is now eligible to be certified by the Wisconsin Department of Justice to work as law enforcement officers in the state. The 720-hour program included a mix of classroom and hands-on scenario training to give students the skills necessary to respond safely and effectively to a multitude of different situations.
The 2018 graduating class includes, front row, left to right, Josue Rojas of Elcho, Michelle Czlapinski of Rhinelander, Joseph Bures of Antigo, Melanie Goeman of Crandon, Noah Nicholson of Antigo, Alexander Schmidt of Prentice, McKenzie Kubisiak of West Bend, Connor Johnson of Rhinelander; in back, Brad Bigboy of Odanah, Ryan Ankerson of De Pere, Daniel Andrews of Tomahawk, Benjamin Hintze of Merrill, Adam Boney of Crandon, Christopher Mork of Elcho, and Robert Dumovich of Eagle River.
Each graduate earned a 32-credit Technical Diploma. Graduates also receiving 66-credit Associate’s of Applied Science Degrees in Criminal Justice Studies included Michelle Czlapinski, Christopher Mork, Noah Nicholson and Josue Rojas.
