Obituary: Leon Robison
Leon Robison, age 75, of Pelican Lake died October 30, 2015 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Leon was born November 25, 1939 in Rhinelander to Mike and Cora(Pond)Robison. He attended schools in Pelican Lake/Elcho graduating from the Elcho High School in 1957. After his schooling Leon went to work in the potato fields and the woods for a number of years before starting at the Rhinelander Paper Company. He retired from the paper company in 1989. He married Shirley Goodell on December 8, 1962 in Bundy. They made their home and raised their boys in Enterprise and Leon loved it there. Leon was a very avid bear hunter. He was a member of the Bear Hunters Association for many years and each years hunt was a family affair. He loved to run his dogs and be with his family and close friends each year as they hunted bear. He also loved to fish. Leon loved to do anything that included his family, his in laws, his bear hunting buddies and his neighbors. He loved them all dearly. He is survived by his wife Shirley, his two sons Charles and Mike Robison both of Pelican Lake, his granddaughter Ashley Robison of Stevens Point, WI, his two sisters Joyce Helser of Pelican Lake and Virginia Bergman of Rhinelander, his brother Wilbur(Sylvia)Robison of Weyauwega, WI, nieces, nephews, in laws, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service for Leon will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 12:00 Noon, with a visitation from 10:00 AM until Noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home.
