Oneida County Health Department will offer car seat safety check
The Oneida County Health department, in collaboration with Safe Kids Worldwide will conduct free car seat inspections Monday June 23, 2014 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Rhinelander Fire Station, 128 W. Fredrick St.
No appointment is necessary. Car seats will be checked by a Certified Car Seat Technician.
Car seats will be available for purchase at reduced rates. Free low back booster seats will be available to children over four years old and 40 lbs, (while supply lasts). Child must be present and vehicle must have lap and shoulder belt and headrest. One booster seat per child.
Results from previous safety seat checks have shown that four out of five car seats are used incorrectly.
