Nicolet College Graphic Design student wins gold ADDY Award
Nicolet College Graphic Design student Charlotte Fohner recently won a gold ADDY Award from American Advertising Federation-Madison for her poster, What Could Be, Can Be, promoting the Art and Graphic Design programs at Nicolet.
Fohner estimates it took somewhere between 20 and 25 hours to complete the project.
“All I know is that it took a lot of work,” she said.
The American Advertising Federation-Madison holds the ADDY Awards Competition every year. At the event professional advertising agencies and college and high school students from across the state compete in numerous categories for the top prizes.
Fohner’s gold came in the Student Collateral Material Division.
Her entry will now advance to a regional ADDY competition April 12 at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Fohner, from Rhinelander, is a second-year Graphic Design student at Nicolet and is currently looking at four-year campuses to earn her bachelor’s degree.
Along with being a talented designer, she is also an active ambassador for Nicolet and the Graphic Design program. She recently traveled to Madison to participate in the Wisconsin Technical College System Student Showcase held in the State Capitol Rotunda.
