Business Close-up: Woodruff Appliance makes purchases easy
Purchasing an appliance can be a daunting task, but not if you make a visit to Woodruff Appliance. Here you will find all the expertise, knowledge and friendly accommodations needed to purchase just the right television, stove, refrigerator and a lot more.
Woodruff Appliance was started back in 1929 by Bob Knapstein. Today his three sons, Ray, Dave and Rodney, run the operation. These brothers have a true familiarity with the Northwoods area and make their customers feel like part of the family.
Their store in Woodruff provides a wide variety of appliances to choose from. From gas and electric stoves, to refrigerators to big screen televisions, just to name a few, appliances are on display in a clean and spacious environment where customers are encouraged to ask questions and personalized service is a given.
Many name brands are available here such as Kitchenaid, Amana, LG, Wolf, Subzero, GE, Whirlpool and more. In addition, they have three full-time service technicians on duty who make house calls as well as service any make or model, whether it was purchased at Woodruff Appliance or not. There is also a parts department and if a part is not on hand they are more than happy to order it.
In addition to service calls, delivery of appliances is also provided and they will haul away any old unit for free, except electronics which have a $15 fee. Installation is also available from one of their knowledge technicians on any of the appliances they sell. Deliveries are made within in a 35 mile radius.
The Knapsteins also work with many area contractors and remodelers so when it comes time to remove, install and update appliances they are ready and on time for delivery and installation.
Because of their superb customer service and continual customer loyalty the brothers have expanded their appliance business recently to Tomahawk. At the end of January they opened Tomahawk Appliance and Home which carries all the top brand names as the Woodruff location in addition to America’s Mattress Gallery, which offers Serta bedding. Furniture is also available including many Amish made pieces.
