Low-cost vaccinations available for pets
The Oneida County Humane Society and The Fix Is In Inc. are partnering to protect area pets from rabies, parvovirus, distemper and other contagious cat and dog diseases. The two animal advocacy groups will offer a low-cost vaccination clinic for pets Saturday, May 11, at the Crescent Town Hall, 3231 Golf Course Road. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Rabies vaccinations for cats and dogs will be offered for $10 each. The four-way distemper vaccination will be offered at $15 each. Only cash will be accepted for payment.
Pets will be given one-year vaccinations. A three-year rabies vaccination will be given only if a photocopy of the pet’s previous rabies certificate is brought to the clinic. A current rabies vaccination is required by the State of Wisconsin for all dogs residing in the state. In addition, all towns require an up-to-date rabies vaccination in order to get a dog license in that town.
Reservations are not required. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. For more information, call the Oneida County Humane Society Adoption Center at (715) 362-5992.
