RHS student and teacher receive Herb Kohl Foundation award
The selection committee for the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Scholarship and Fellowship Program has announced that RHS student Lindsey Lieck and RHS teacher Linda Goldsworthy are among the recipients of the 2013 Herb Kohl Foundation awards for students and teachers.
The $1,000 awards are going to 100 teachers, their schools and 187 graduating high school students. Recipients will be honored at regional recognition luncheons in April. U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl (retired) will attend all luncheons and will present awards to recipients.
The Kohl Foundation Scholarship and Fellowship program was established by Sen. Kohl in 1990. To date, the foundation has awarded $8.2 million to Wisconsin educators, students and schools.
