SOCCER
The Hodag Dome was the site of the girls soccer scrimmage against the Merrill Bluejays. The teams played four 20-minute quarters instead of two 40-minute halves.
The Hodags scored two goals by the time the first two quarters were in the books and then let loose and scored seven more in the second half of the scrimmage while not allowing a shot on goal.
The girls were scheduled to begin the regular season last Tuesday against Hayward, but the game was canceled because Hayward schools were closed. Tuesday, April 2 the Hodags are scheduled to play at home against Shawano.
BASEBALL
The Hodag baseball team scrimmaged the Crandon Cardinals in the Hodag Dome Thursday.
The Cardinals played shorthanded, due to Crandon’s extended spring break, and recruited a player as their ninth man.
The game went seven innings as the Hodags used seven different players on the mound to get a look at possible pitchers. The Cardinals used four different pitchers against the Hodags.
The Hodags are scheduled to begin the regular season at Wittenberg-Birnamwood Tuesday.
TENNIS, GOLF
