Hodag Highlights: Cross Country

The Hodag girls cross country team beat out five other teams to take first place at the Three Lakes Invitational Sept. 21. Five runners placed in the top 15, with Leah Jamison leading the way in fifth place. Sophie Miljevich (8th), Hayley Schiek (11th), Kara Monk (14th) and Luna Grage (15th) followed and added to the win.
The boys team took third at the meet, just one point out of second place. Greyson Gremban led the way with a third place finish, followed by Avrom Barr (12th), Gavin Denis (13th) and Jackson Weinzatl (14th) in the top 15.
Sept. 28 the team traveled to the Medford Invitational, where Grayson Gremban placed first over all. Hodags Avrom Barr, Gavin Denis and Jackson Weinzatl finished in the top 15. As a team, Rhinelander took fourth place.
The girls placed third at Medford. Once again Leah Jamison was the first Hodag to the finish line, finishing seventh. Sophie Miljevich was 11th followed by Kara Monk, Hayley Schiek, Luna Grage and Ella Miljevich finishing in the top 21.
