One dead in two-vehicle accident in Oneida County

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the death of a 68-year-old man Wednesday night in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 51 and Co. D in Hazelhurst.

The accident occurred approximately 6:37 p.m. According to the Sheriff’s Office a preliminary investigation indicates a 68-year-old male driving a two-door sedan was traveling west on Co. D and entered the intersection of U.S. 51, where the vehicle was struck by a Dodge Ram driven by a 17-year old male, traveling south on U.S. 51.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information is available.
