Star Journal Report

Oneida County Health Department  reported a twentieth case of COVID-19 July 1. The individual is in their 50s and has a history of travel outside the area. The person is self isolating.

According to the health department’s new web page detailing outbreaks and investigations, two Minocqua businesses have been placed on a list for low risk establishments.

Low risk means a positive case was known to be at an establishment but there is low risk of contracting COVID-19 for members of the public at this establishment and all close contacts are able to be identified or there are zero close contacts. All who had contact with a low risk establishment should monitor themselves for symptoms. Risk is thought to be similar to the overall risk of community spread.

A person with a known positive test visited Norwood Pines Supper Club in Minocqua and Walmart in Minocqua June 27.

Please visit the OC health department websites for more information.

3,044 total tests
55 pending
2,969 negative

2 active self isolation
18 recovered
