The Habitat for Humanity Restore in Rhinelander is seeking furniture and appliance donations. Anyone who is upgrading, purging to make space or just feels like getting rid of some furniture or appliances is encouraged to contact the Restore at 715-420-2301.

“We have had incredible support from all the local communities,” said George Allen, Restore operations director. “But the demand is outgrowing our supply. We could definitely use more quality items to meet our customers’ requests and needs.”

The Habitat for Humanity Restore helps the Habitat for Humanity Northwoods affiliate by raising money to build homes for families who may not be able to acquire conventional homeownership financing and to help finance simplistic home maintenance projects for those having a difficult time being able to physically maintain their homes.

The Restore will pick up donations from Oneida and surrounding border counties.

”We put a lot of miles on our pick up/delivery truck,” said Allen. “We’ll save you the hassle and headache of removing heavy items from your house.”

The Restore is open Monday through Saturday. Store hours Monday through Wednesday are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store is open Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pick ups and deliveries can be scheduled any of those days.

“It’s a community effort,” said Allen. “The more donations we get for the store, the more we can do to help people.”
