HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: Hodags handle Thunderbirds

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The Rhinelander High School wrestling team won five matches on pins and recorded two forfeit victories Thursday when the Hodags won their Great Northern Conference home dual meet over Lakeland Union High School, 42-30.

RHS’s wrestlers to record pins included Tim Fox (106), Tyler Olson (132), Jacob DeMeyer (160), Hunter Greyhair (182) and Colton Krueger (220), while Isabella Anderson (120) and Alec Kurtz (195) were awarded forfeit victories.

The Thunderbirds also won seven matches with three pins and four decisions. The LUHS wrestlers winning on pins included Harry Nemcek (113), Robert Burgess (152) and Xavier Burgess (170), while Dejay Nordrum (126), Jack Scandin (138), Jason Hilgart (145) and Delsin Flemming (285) earned decision victories.

The Hodags, who are now 2-0 in GNC dual meets, next host a conference dual meet Tuesday against Mosinee.
