The second annual Leaderfest brought more than 50 professionals to hear several speakers on a variety of leadership topics.

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The second annual Leaderfest professional development day was held at Rondele Ranch in Harshaw Aug. 23. More than 50 area participants listened to speakers including Justin Nickels, pictured, who became Manitowoc’s mayor at the age of 22.

Nicolet College vice president of student affairs Kate Farrel, Northwoods United Way (NWUW) executive director Nancy Sattler and Rhinelander police chief Lloyd Gauthier, who is a certified leadership coach, trainer and speaker also addressed the audience.

Leaderfest was created as a collaboration between Northwoods United Way and Leadership Oneida County in 2016. It aims to provide personal enrichment and an opportunity for professional development, as well as increasing awareness of the non-profit organizations that NWUW represents and the leadership and volunteer opportunities in Oneida County.
