BOYS BASKETBALL: Hodags handle Mosinee, 57-41

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The Rhinelander High School varsity boys basketball team avenged a Great Northern Conference loss from a week earlier when the Hodags won at home Tuesday over Mosinee, 57-41.

RHS, which led 28-17 at halftime, had three players end up scoring in double figures led by Owen White with 19 points. Reese Flores added 12 points with Matthew Reinthaler scoring 11 more.

The Hodags shot 18-48 (37.5 percent) from the field overall and 10-27 (37 percent) from 3-point range. They also went 11-19 (57.9 percent) from the free-throw line.

The win improved RHS’s season record to 5-3 in the GNC and 9-5 overall going into Friday’s home conference game against Tomahawk.

Hodags: Easton Senoraske 2, Reeve Craig 8, Brad Comer 5, Reese Flores 12, Owen White 19, Matthew Reinthaler 11. 3-pointers: Reinthaler 3, Craig 2, Flores 2, White 2, Comer. Free throws: 11-19. Fouls: 11.
